1998's Letting Off The Happiness is the sophomore full-length album from Bright Eyes and it features ten Conor Oberst originals performed/recorded with assistance from members of Cursive, Drip, Lullaby for the Working Class, Neutral Milk Hotel, of Montreal, Sorry About Dresden, and more. This release represented a big step forward in terms of fidelity for the singer/songwriter, much in part to the guidance and assistance throughout the recordings by Lullaby's Mike Mogis who would go on to become a full-time member. Letting Off The Happiness serves as the perfect introduction to the prolific artist's signature chaotic bedroom pop. 180g LP also includes entire album on CD.
